Black History Lessons My Father Taught Me

Daughter of Historian Daud Malik Watts recalls lessons learned about West African History. Her father spent years researching African and African American history at institutions including Moorland-Spingarn Research Center at Howard University, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Library of Congress. The book includes the text from three of the five titles from the Positive Image Education Series - The 100,000 Horsemen of West Africa, The Urban Heritage of West Africa and Timbuktu as well as updated, historically accurate information and images. As a celebration of Black History Month, the father and daughter teamed up to share lessons with future generations.
