DI Sam Kagan isn't happy. With his family murdered he's been stuck in his flat for six weeks trying to get over his grief and guilt by drinking immoderately.

On his first day back he's faced with the savage murder of a dosser. A murder that might just be connected to an extreme right-wing party that's looking likely to win a seat in the imminent General Election. In an area full of poverty, diverse cultures and religions, tensions are running high. Can Sam put a stop to the increasingly bizarre attacks in the area? Can he cope when he learns that of his Jewish grandparents history? Can he prove who killed his family? Can he finally manage to control his weak stomach? He doesn't know, but as his anger rises he determines to make someone pay, even if that just means throwing up over them.
