Bright As Starlight

The Gwana Star System holds few uninhabited planets, but I'm destined to start a new colony. I've trained my entire life for this venture, and everyone I know and love flies with me. The mission is underway when pirates strike. In a matter of minutes, my world implodes, and the few survivors are taken captive for scientific experiments. Now I have a new mission: escape and rescue.

When I run, I enter a hostile jungle planet, completely alone and defenseless with genetically-engineered soldiers chasing me. Except I'm not as alone as I first think. The jungle is inhabited, and a curious alien warrior observes me. His intervention creates an unexpected yet thrilling bond between us. 

With my warrior's help, I plan to contact Gwana Peacekeepers and free the colonists. All I have to do is convince him to fight superior aliens and betray the natives. What could possibly go wrong?
