Publisher Description
Delnor Hospital, a medium-sized facility in Geneva, Ill., wants to aid its community physicians by subsidizing their acquisition of electronic health records. It hopes that doing so will make it easier for the doctors to work at Delnor than at other area hospitals, says Jim Reams, Delnor's chief information officer. Wiring physidan offices is also key to meeting quality and efficiency goals. "If we can help physicians get rid of paper, it also helps us get rid of paper," Kearns explains. "And our quest is to continue to lower our cost structure."
