I don’t get it

I have a hard time giving 1 Star reviews - that is why I gave 2. The author surely put a lot of work in a project like this. Or maybe not and that is why I find this book useless? If you publish a book about such a complex method in a very very complex software and decide to not use one single screenshot of that software you understand nothing about how people learn. I use Omnifocus since day one and I support and buy anything that teaches it and helps people to use it. I do remember how much I struggled to get this whole GTD thing running for myself. So I also did buy this book as it claims „This book is a book we’ve written for all users of OmniFocus, from those taking their first steps with the app to those who are experienced and familiar with it.“. I m not sure if it really adds something to the portfolio of an experienced user if she reads other books or the many blog articles that are out there for years but I am pretty sure it does not help the beginner to get a good start. But let’s be fair: I should not speak for other people, so: it would not have helped me at all when I started out. I would also give it 5 stars if I wouldn’t find anything in it for myself but I would think it is useful for beginners. I doubt it. There is one other book out there about the topic with 1000+ pages and hundreds of screenshots that I found over the top until now, but mastering OmniFocus takes a lot of efford and can’t be done with a shortcut. If you google „Omnifocus for Beginners“ you find tons of stuff that helps you. To the authors: I am really sorry for such harsh criticism but I really think you need to go back to the drawing board. If it would be a free pdf I would say: nice but you sold me a 25 US$ book and it didn’t deliver. Again: this is my obersavation and I hope people who found the book useful show up and explain why.
