William Douglas Carter (appellant) appeals from judgments of the Circuit Court of Loudoun County (trial court), which approved his jury convictions for malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and denied his post-trial motions for a new trial. Appellant alleges that the trial court erred when it refused to grant him a new trial based on (1) after-discovered evidence, and (2) the alleged failure of the Commonwealth to provide him with exculpatory evidence requested in a pretrial motion.
