CAST for the Smartphone

CAST is the acronym for “Concepts As Structured Text.”  CAST provides a means for representing the relationships of sentence elements as a hierarchical structure, in order to analyze and better understand the meaning of a complex sentence.  


The proliferation of smartphones has enabled people to do useful work while away from their desk, but limited screen sizes has crippled the ability of many applications to function well there.  “CAST for the Smartphone” is primarily for the CAST user who needs a CAST format that will fit on the screen of a smartphone.  To that end, CAST has evolved two new diagram forms that address the problem of using CAST on the limited real estate of a smartphone screen.  This book describes the two new forms — CAST Table and CAST Syntax-Tree — and explains how to exploit them.


This book is also for anyone who needs the compact CAST formats for displaying sentence structures in the more compact, non-redundant format.
