Chasing Wonder

Chasing Wonder reveals the journey of a young oyster, banished from the oyster bed for capricious and unjust cause, in pursuit of wisdom of the world and self. The story is told in often humorous and always clever rhyme. During his odyssey, the oyster encounters several other sea creatures, while he is relentlessly pursued by an evil sawfish. A genius brain coral called Coral Larry names the oyster Wonder and tells him that embracing wonder is the path to knowledge and wisdom. Each of the characters Wonder encounters—Squid Pro Quo, Esteemed Lobster, NepTune (a rapper), Twain the streetwise turtle, Sarah and Dipidee, Yada Yada and Blah Blah Blah, among others—shows the way to wisdom through critical life lessons. Each of these experiences prepares Wonder for the climactic showdown with the evil sawfish Vidi.
