Acknowledgements

The Children’s Bible Reader was produced in consultation with the American Bible Society (ABS) and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Detroit. The original text was developed by the Greek Bible Society under the direction of Michael Chatzigiannis, General Secretary of the Greek Bible Society (GBS) and translated from the Greek by Anna Soumeka, Production Manager at GBS (Old Testament) and Ersie Antoniadou (New Testament). Text styling was done by Catherine Hiotelli, the illustrations by Martha Kapetanakou-Xinopoulou and graphic design by Popi Kalogianni.

The U.S. editorial team was led by Presbytera Katherine Chapekis Sietsema under the direction of Thomas Durakis, ABS Director of Publishing Services. Significant contributions were also made by Robert Hodgson, Dean of the Nida Institute of the ABS, Barbara Bernstengel, ABS Director of Education/Quality Control, Gary Ruth, ABS Director of Finance and Production Services and Nikolaos Garbidakis ABS CIO/CTO, with the support of ABS President Dr. Paul Irwin and CFO Richard Stewart.

Theo Nicolakis, Director of Technology of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and Peter Petropoulakos, owner and creative director of petrostudio LLC, were instrumental in preparing the manuscript electronically.
