Chuba Chubba is a little immigrant snake who lives in the West Texas desert. Although Chuba is not the fastest snake in the neighborhood, he is certainly the happiest and kindest. One day when he sees his friend, Jill Rabbit Bunny, use her lightning speed to outrun a hungry coyote, Chuba is thrilled--until he sees her stumble and fall. She has not had even a drop of water in days.

With Jill Rabbit Bunny’s life depending on him, Chuba races to the Rio Grande. As he struggles alone to carry water back to Jill Rabbit Bunny, his desert friends join in. Through teamwork and creative thinking, they must find a speedy way to transport the water to Jill Rabbit Bunny before it is too late.
