Fiction like it should be. Cindy is a horse and buggy story that takes place after The Civil War in the United States as told by her son Doug. Cindy lost her husband and has been caring for her family. In comes a new husband, then we lose him and move to Vermont from Virginia. (What a mess) The town and his family are brats.
You'll love it when he comes home though.
