Scheherazade trusts her grandmother without reservation, more than almost anyone else alive. So when the elderly but still sharp woman tells her granddaugher they need to rescue a caged bird of paradise, Scheherazade doesn’t queston why. She buys the bird. But the seller decides he wants the bird back, leading to a chase on the high seas. And an attack by dragons.
