This is the conundrum confronting recently widowed farmer John Gault, when friends encourage his dormant writing ambitions to distract him from his recent loss.


It’s harder than it sounds – especially with no particular victim in mind.


But suddenly an idea presents itself.


As he works it through with Sarah, herself widowed not long ago under somewhat mysterious circumstances, his evolving book plot gradually becomes something altogether more sinister…


Nick Everard is a former Army Officer whose subsequent career has embraced periods in the city, schools adventure travel and recruiting/headhunting. He became Regimental Secretary of The Royal Lancers in July 2021. He is married to Kiki and lives on the Leicestershire/Northamptonshire border close to Market Harborough. They have two grown children.
