Across the small town of Boldene, the wealthy investor Logan Clearwater is bored and lonely. Caught up in the paper mill of his next financially successful venture, Logan craves change and to make something with his hands. When he sees Simone's ad for an assistant seamstress, Logan applies for the job.

While Logan is uniquely qualified to help her, Simone resists the full strength of his charm. Hardened against personal or professional partnership by past disappointment, she keeps her immediate attraction to Logan at bay until one bluesy night, away from work, she lets her guard down. That night, just as her careful plan falls into place, it simultaneously falls apart.
