Clouds on the Horizon continues the story of Annie, her friend Katy Rose, David, Michael, and a host of new characters as they navigate the turbulent 60s. A world away, newlyweds Herb and Maggie begin a new adventure together in Africa.

The decade brings about changes with the Hippie Movement in full bloom. How will this affect their peaceful North Carolina farming community? This period also ushers in the divisive Vietnam War, where young men from every walk of life face the reality of the draft. It is a time of great change and brings with it distress and conflict. Some chase the utopian hippie dream all the way across to the west coast, while others cling to long-held traditions. Can the faith of fathers and mothers see this young generation through the stormy season of the 1960s?
