Coffee Break, a One-Act Play

Crotchety, wise-cracking, long-time employee, Hazel, has waited for years and is finally first in line for a coveted in-building parking permit. When she is supplanted by an undeserving office femme fatale, Hazel spends her morning coffee break in the employee lounge planning her revenge. Other employees come and go: the ditzy bebopper, the earth mother, the senile senior partner, the lecherous security guard, and others. Each one (wittingly or unwittingly) plays a part in aiding, abetting, or subverting Hazel's schemes. Finally, revenge comes from an unexpected, supernatural source.
