Fred Kassak, pseudonym of Pierre Humblot, was born in 1928. He became very famous at the end of the 1950s with a series of novels with inimitable dark humor. Screenwriter of the first episode of "Les cinq dernières minutes" (extremely popular French crime TV series) in 1958, he then devoted himself mainly to cinema and television.
