Dance Without Music

P.I. Caryl O’Hara gets a visit from Lenore Ivory. The agency he just finished a tough divorce case for recommended him. She’s concerned about her friend Esmeralda. Ivory was married to a dirt bag in New York who makes his living off rich women. That includes blackmail.

Leonore divorced him and he had eyes for her friend,the wealthy Esmeralda. They got married and are in England. Lenore wants O’Hara to confront the slimeball and threaten to go to the police if he finds evidence that hubby put Esmeralda on drugs. O’Hara says no.

Turns out Esmeralda is a heroin addict and lost all her money. Hubby is eventually murderered. Looks like she did it. O’Hara gets involved.
