American newspaper journalist Paul Brennan is drawn into the dangerous world of drug smuggling when he meets and falls in love with the wife of the head of a Colombian drug cartel. Captivated by the seductive but tormented Gabriella, he is ordered to travel to Colombia by Mango, his DEA contact, who leads him into a world of danger and deception. Although never sure of Gaby's loyalty, Brennan falls deeper in love with her when she agrees to work with him to stop her husband from detroying her family.
