Publisher Description

Dawn is one of those books that has an intense focus on a single character. Through it, we follow the life of Dawn from her birth to old age.

There isn’t much on Harriet A. Adams. One gets redirected to Harriet Stratemeyer Adams, a novelist who produced more than 200 books in her career. She’s best known for her involvement in the Nancy Drew series. She, along with her sister, took over the Stratemeyer Syndicate, a publishing company that focused on children’s mystery novels (the most popular of which were the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books). It’s unlikely this is her, though; Dawn was published in 1868 and Harriet Stratemeyer Adams wasn’t born until 1892. For now, the life behind Dawn remains a mystery.
