Describe My Dragon

Describe My Dragon book is a simple and concise book to help my son prepare for his SATs. This book gives your child the opportunity to look at a variety of dragons and describe them. Adjectives and describing words are included to increase/improve and consolidate your child's vocabulary. This simple and short book can also be used to encourage your child to use a dictionary to look up new words or words that they are uncertain of the meaning of. My son found new words as he was using a dictionary to find the meanings. There are lots of teaching opportunities for you as you play with your child while you take it in turns to describe the dragons. You could also encourage your child to use adjectives to describe scenes such as the ones included in this book. You can use this book to encourage your child to use different words and to repeat the vocabulary that you use. My son enjoyed describing the dragons and I hope your child will too.
