Dog Day

Karen is so lonely that she actually resorts to speed-dating. But when she turns up and sits down opposite Dan, he doesn't talk to her. When he finally meets her gaze, she catches an answering echo of loneliness thrusting out from behind his eyes. As much as she resists their shared culture, the force of their connection; she quickly realises that without Dan, she would be lost forever.
