PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Spear continues her werewolf series (Heart of the Wolf, etc.) with this run-of-the-mill paranormal romance. Werewolf Jake Silver is dropping off some of his photographs in a Colorado art gallery when he spots Alicia Greiston taking pictures of a car's license plate. Intrigued, he follows her into a restaurant where a dangerous-looking man confronts her. Jake comes to Alicia's rescue, and she explains that she's a bounty hunter tracking the mobsters who murdered her mother. Jake and Alicia can't resist their mutual attraction, and Jake vows to do whatever it takes to protect Alicia from the men who want her dead. Quick pacing propels the story along, but too many unrelated elements clutter the plot.
