Eby's Fortune

Eby da Silva returns home to Brazil after being caught up in the Napoleonic wars, only to discover her house has been turned into a brothel, and the family plantation is in the hands of a cruel and violent overseer. Can Eby regain her position as the rightful owner of the plantation?  Or will she be forced to give up the land that is her birthright and lose her newly-found independence? With the help of a soldier from Spain she had fallen in love with but lost, and a runaway African slave, Eby fights to take back what belongs to her.  She wages a battle against hate, greed, corruption, and treachery, as well as trying to unravel the secrets of her parents' past.
