Ten interconnected short stories written for the Chinese Year of the Dragon. A grim Darkness threatens the land of Shinwa. Several young women are Called to be Avatars of the Elemental Dragons. Their decisions influence the war against the Darkness and their country's path.

Shinwa is based on an alternate ancient China of long ago.
