There is a very particular kind of heat that comes from watching a shy, clever, bookish girl in an oversized jumper try, with every fibre of her being, to keep a secret she has been keeping her entire life, and fail, beautifully, at the exact moment two very determined new friends decide they are not going to let her.

This is that book.

Emily Myers has spent eighteen years being invisible. Grammar school in Surrey. Straight As. A gap year in her own bedroom. A wardrobe full of identical oatmeal jumpers and midi skirts designed to make her look like the boring librarian she has been trying to be since she was thirteen. She has a camera she loves. She has a mum who worries. She has a private clinic in Harley Street. And, under the jumper and the skirt and the opaque tights and the plain cotton knickers from an M&S multipack, she has a secret she tapes flat every morning with surgical adhesive and has never, in her entire life, let another living soul see.

Three years of art college. That is the plan. Keep the jumpers baggy. Keep the friends at arm's length. Get the degree. Go home to Mum and Dad on weekends. Do not, under any circumstances, let anyone close enough to notice.

Except on the first Monday morning of term, on the steps of the Arts Building, a six foot black haired terror in high waisted jeans walks backwards out of a door, collides with Emily at full speed, and decides, in the space of about ninety seconds, that Emily is her new best friend.

And the five foot two vision in a cropped cardigan next to her agrees.

By Thursday, Emily is in a group chat called The Coven. By Friday, she is being dragged to a sleepover in Melissa's bed with fairy lights strung along the headboard and a bottle of prosecco chilling in the fridge. By two in the morning, she is fast asleep between them, the way she always sleeps, which is to say utterly, completely, medically unwakeable, with her borrowed pyjama shorts tented quite obviously upward and her two new best friends kneeling on either side of her in the warm gold light, staring, whispering, and making a decision that is going to change her entire life.

Emily's Little Problem is a filthy, funny, achingly tender story about the shyest girl in her year, the two most devastating girls on campus, and the first term at college in which Emily finds out that she is not going to survive three years without being discovered, because two people have already discovered her, and they have absolutely no intention of letting her go.

It is a futa story. It is a first time story. It is a throuple story.

Emily has spent eighteen years being nobody's.

Jessica and Melissa have other plans.

A femdom leaning futa romance.
