Empty

Empty is a short story that exposes the hardship of Australian farming after several years of drought. Through one woman’s eyes, Empty shows the financial, emotional and life destroying consequences that can be wrought by a lack of water, something city people take for granted every day. The story unfolds as Gail and her dog Bark take a walk on her property and encounter the comic tragedy of life and death on the land.
