Enemy Aliens

An English girl in the 1960s is appalled to discover that her grandfather was German and interned as an 'enemy alien' during two world wars. She decides to delve into her family background, but only years later is able to complete writing their story, producing a portrait of German immigrant family life in England 1900-1945.
