Abstract Many Business Colleges employ service-learning pedagogy to balance academic content with practical experience within a framework of social service. The goals of such courses typically entail: improving student research and critical thinking skills, enhanced perception of citizenship, building self-confidence and team work skills. The use of a service-learning framework in a senior business consulting course will be analyzed, with particular emphasis placed upon the value provided to the community, and lessons learned pertaining to course methodology and class management.
