Ensenada Wine Tour

Our Mexican Riviera Cruise stopped in Ensenada. The idea of La Bufadora, the blow hole, didn't appeal to us.

We opted for premium wine over plastic matadors. We decided to take off on a tour of our own to the winery region outside of Ensenada and left the crowded bus behind.  

All of us had a wonderful time. The driver we hired driver was informative. He took us to many interesting places not on the bus tours and provided information about the area.

The Russian immigrants that settled here brought wine culture and advanced agricultural techniques with them.  

 The Mediterranean  like climate allows the area to produce most of Mexico's wine. This really is a major wine producing region. If you've toured California wine regions, this similar with a south of the border flare.   Enjoy wine touring like Napa in the early days, without all the commercial hype.
