Evelyn Innes

Evelyn Innes (1898) was George Moore's ninth novel and eighteenth book. It is the story of a musical prodigy who leaves home to launch her career as a prima donna of grand opera, only to stumble in a crisis of conscience at the pinnacle of her success. It is part one of a duology; part two was Sister Teresa (1901).
