Ex Parte Martin Lee Burns

This is an application for writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to Art. 11.07, V.A.C.C.P. Petitioner was convicted in Cause Nos. C72-11120-HJ and C73-930-NJ of assault with intent to murder a police officer and murder with malice in Criminal District Court No. 3 of Dallas County. Petitioner pled guilty to each offense on February 16, 1973, and received a life sentence in each cause. No appeals were taken from these convictions.
