Faces & Crafts of Kinvara

In ‘Faces & Crafts of Kinvara’ Markus Voetter displays ten local artisans in stunning black&white and coloured images, giving insight into the working community of Kinvara. After spending time with each of the artisans, he delivered on his objective to authentically capture the craftspeople in powerful, unstaged portraits in their everyday work environment.

His aim is to reveal and promote some of the traditional professions to be found in Kinvara; to document their individuals’ skills, and to inspire with his work, for new generations to continue these local crafts.

Some of the photographs showcased in this book formed part of his exhibition during Ireland’s ‘Culture Night 2017’.
