This book is a continuation of the story begun in The Voyages of Evening Light, which ended with the rapture of Christians and great destruction caused by an asteroid impact. It is not necessary, however, to have read the first book as sufficient background of ‘Evening Light’ is provided for the reader’s understanding. Those left behind after the Rapture struggle to find God’s will and seek redemption. The abandoned boat, Evening Light, is recovered by Bill Watson, the unsaved son of missionaries to Madagascar, and taken back to Israel while struggling with his many short comings. The time between the Rapture and Christ’s second coming is full of worldwide upheaval and violence. The new Christians struggle to survive while witnessing to the lost world. As God’s plan unfolds they are surprised and amazed, and sometimes unable to understand. While a prisoner, Bill meets a lovely Persian woman, Mira, which becomes his crewmate and companion. The final Great War causes massive loss of life and is ended with Christ’s return.
The writer has been a Christian for many years and a deacon in the Baptist Church, teaching adult education classes.
