First Through the Grand Canyon

This work contains the autobiographical account of the expedition led by Major John Wesley Powell through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River in 1869?70. The work contains a great introduction, which describes the history of the canyon, as well as more background information on Powell and his reasons for wanting to explore the Colorado River and Grand Canyon.
