Young but enchanted Minorie Raine stands up to her abusive father but finds herself homeless and desperate. With no help from her ignorant, cheating, boyfriend, she is serendipitously ‘rescued’ from thoughts of ending it all by an escorted journey to the nearby “magickal" village of Carlinn. An accident? Or part of the web of powerful magical forces.....

In Carlinn, Minorie must quickly carve out a path for herself in order to find a place among the village’s colourful residents. But at the infamous Festival of the Dead, truths are revealed which can’t be unseen and Minorie learns that there’s always more to lose….
