Sabine Rosenberger, born in 1964, lived her dream of a free and self-determined life as a shepherdess for 30 years. With wit and passion, she now tells the story of her life: of unexpected chances, of defeat, and most of all of the unswerving belief that eventually everything will fall into place.



Her unusual childhood is marked by her exceptional intelligence, which becomes apparent at a very early age, but also by her irascible father – an alcoholic – and her depressive mother. Sabine has a wild youth and finds love – the love of her life – with a shepherd who is old enough to be her father. After countless ups, downs, and new beginnings, she sets out on the road to Santiago de Compostela.



Even if it is sometimes hard, she leads a life so crazy and yet so beautiful – a life that‘s almost unthinkable.
