Jase St. Claire is living a comfortable and quiet existance in Natchez Mississippi when the murders along the Chickasaw Trace begin.  Travelers robbed and killed by the Black Lion, a renegade white man raised by the Shawnee who became legendary during the years preceding the battle of Fallen Timbers, after which, the Black Lion disappeared.  Now, he has resurfaced to threaten Jase's hard-won reputation, and maybe his life--unless he can find the man and stop him.  It's a difficult task made nearly impossible when he thwarts a robbery along the Trace, and saves a young woman from being killed  Catherine Breux is young, beautiful and very hard-headed.  She wants justice for the murder of her twin brother, Andre, killed by the Black Lion... yet in achieving her goal, she will be sending the charming rogue Jase St. Claire to the gallows. Warning:  sexual content.
