Foul Play Farming

Very gradually, farmers have come to view nature and all that lives in it as a sort of machine. The rest of the population just stood by and watched this happen. Farmers and consumers began thinking in terms of money: a scenario in which - for both groups - cost price takes centre stage. The indifference has led to a form of agricultural production in which the very essence of the source of that production - nature - is merely regarded with disdain.
