Foundations of Rock Guitar

Foundations of Rock Guitar outlines a new approach to learning how to play guitar. Starting with teaching the history of music (and the relationship of the guitar to music history) students gain an appreciation of the instrument and how to develop the skills required to master the guitar. Learning the importance of developing the ear to recognize pitches and intervals, music theory and the ability to read music charts and scores are all taught in the context of developing a positive and iterative practice routine. The overall focus of the book is enjoying the process of learning the guitar, and has content applicable to multiple skill levels on the instrument. The companion iOS Application, “iGuitarjournal” will be released in Spring 2020.
