Tobias Arving, professional genealogist, is back, but his investigation into who Klara Arvelod really was is getting a little weird. Maybe Klara should have hired a psychic instead of a genealogist. Why did Klara, as a member of The Collective—not the usual women’s group— consult with clairvoyants, occultists, transcendentalists, and a spirit guide or two? More questions are asked than answered as Tobias and his friends Fletcher “the Geek” Rosebuck and Amos “Cat” Fisher backtrack into Klara’s past.
