Get To Know Todaiji Vol.1

Tōdaiji is an ancient, historic temple famous for its gigantic Buddha statue and its water-drawing ceremony. Many National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties are located on its vast grounds, making it a prominent temple for Japan's conveyance of its ancient history, and an important temple of the world. This series will be published in order to make Tōdaiji's appeal known to the people around the world. For Volume 1, the first part of the story, we will provide a general overview of Tōdaiji and its surrounding area.
