The difficult personal politics of the Zanto Pueblo add complexity to the plot, while the antics of M.J.'s hypochondriac gay best friend, Ghoul Getters producer Gillie Gillespie, and her parrot, Doc, provide comic relief. While the romance between M.J. and Heath never catches fire, series fans will enjoy the straightforward storytelling and gentle humor.
