GIRLS
Beschreibung des Verlags
In GIRLS, ten-year-old Clara tries growing a garden in the ultimate challenging environment of Alaska. As you might guess, one antagonist is nature. The second is the warrior’s strategy protecting the existing system. In propagating this strategy, her family relocates, yet again, to a small Alaskan village with its only access by prop plane. Armed with “the gardening bug” and an unmarked package of seeds, she unshackles her youthfulness stimulating clarity into this wilting, ordered community.
The unshackling continues with omniscient storytelling to aid the reader’s imagination. Thus, cultivating a better understanding of how the young newcomer and this community find useful power during the degrading of the ordered system, to rediscover their state of “bliss” and “self.”
