Wells, who endured multiple complications following\t\t a surgery, details her harrowing experience and what she learned about Christ's\t\t enabling strength. The author always believed her personal relationship with\t\t Jesus was characterized by intimacy and committed love; now, as a\t\t great-grandmother, she feels her spiritual understanding is richer and more\t\t precious than ever before. Wells offers snapshots of her life history,\t\t describing being raised by her own devout great-grandmother, and how early on\t\t she was assured of God's active participation in her poverty-stricken life.\t\t Readers will gain deep appreciation for Wells's struggles and triumphs, and\t\t read with interest the assorted vignettes in which Wells played counselor and\t\t prayer warrior to other hurting Christians.
