Clinical researcher Rebecca Shaughnessy's life has always been planned, ordered, controlled, logical. She isn't a damsel and she doesn't need a hero. What she needs is a decent day planner and some really good ice cream. And to stop looking at the hot new therapist's backside.

Ex- Army Ranger Max Lawrence has had his course plotted, focused, laid in. He isn't looking to be anyone's hero, even if he does appreciate the trusty steed and the mighty sword stories. But thoughts of ripping his new colleague's bodice are keeping him up nights. Unfortunately, his current closest relationship is with his dog, and the mutt is getting more action from this infuriating redhead than he is.

In every good fairytale there are dragons and monsters. The dragon in this tale may be their fiery attraction but the monster won't remain in the past where he belongs.  When the monster resurfaces, this damsel and her knight must brave the currents and fight to keep from going under.
