Harriet's Secret

When Harriet Scarborro receives a mysterious package in the mail, she knows instantly what she must do. Without delay, she packs a bag and sets out from Helen's House with little more than a hope for her own safety. The only thing she's sure of, is that she can't stay. Helen is on a rampage and the girls are dropping off the face of the earth, like flies.

She carries what she can, and steals what she needs. She'll do anything to survive.

When she sees an ad in the Daily Groom, a matchmaking newspaper, she suddenly feels some of her old luck returning. With the nursing skills she picked up during her younger days in the Convent, she can answer the doctor's ad. Only, she wouldn't be anybody's wife. She was going after the job, and it just happened to be as far away from Helen as she could get.
