Hazel

Hazel Crother has a concussion.  Again.  After rolling down a hill.  She and her family have run from their home, escaping from a man who would as soon as sell you or slit your throat in the middle of the night, in a fifty-fifty toss-up as to which he would find more amusing.  In a chance encounter, she runs into someone who offers a chance, a real chance, at ending the nightmare.
