About the Author

Author-illustrator Scott Jackson created Hello Bird as a tribute to his late mother, Joy Jackson, an elementary school teacher for 25 years. Joy touched countless lives with her love for children, her dedication to teaching, and her passion for nurturing young minds. She cherished every moment with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When she passed away, Scott wanted to honor her legacy—and this book is his way of keeping her spirit alive.
