When there was a shortage of she-wolves in the Sawtooth pack, the elders came up with the brilliant idea to sell us to the highest bidder. A rich, awful wolf bought me, and turned his family against me. He called me wolf trash and made me miserable.

The only good thing to come out of our marriage was my daughter, but he's just sold her too. I won't let her suffer the same fate. It's time to break this cycle.

Especially when I read her a bedtime story every night telling her there's a wolf fated just for her…I had a fated mate, too. I should've never played the good little she-wolf to make my pack happy. 

Major Lowe is back in town, and I sneak out of the house to go to his welcome back party. Seeing him again brings up so many emotions. Things could've been so different. 

But I get caught. My husband threatens to do unspeakable things to Major if I even think about seeing him again.

Now Major's standing at my door, telling me he's ready to fight for me, no matter what.

I'm not sure which wolf is more dangerous–the one who owns my body, or the one who owns my heart.
